Morning in London II
We are ready to venture to Paris. We had breakfast and checked out. Everyone is excited and looking forward to taking the Chunnel underneath the Channel. It should be interesting given we will be travelling over 100mph and seeing the English and French countrysides.
We are leaving from Waterloo Station-- a short walk from her (the Tube would have cost $6/person for a very short trip!). We depart around 12PM and arriv in Paris at about 4PM. Our plan today is to go walk near the Effiel Tower and perhaps have dinner somewhere close to our hotel. We will then tour tomorrow for the entire day which is good for Paris museums, in general, are closed on Tuesday.
I believe everyone is doing well with the extreme amount of walking that we are doing. In London we didn't have our big packs on, so it was easier than today when we have all of our gear in our back. I think the positives outweigh the negatives in having one pack and mobility...
I hope We can find good internet accessin Paris. If it is not possible, please be patient. I will find a point of access as soon as I can.
I need to continue to take many photos for everyone to see. I am trying to think how I can use the resources here to upload themto the net?
What... I will write soon. I look forward to your comments...

Hi, Shirley, Ed, and Jason! This is Renee from school. Your trip sounds thrilling! Just wanted to say hi. Have a marvelous time!
By the time you read this you will probably be in Paris so:
Take out the French Guidebooks. Are you going to the Eiffel Tower? If you are, I hope you don't get afraid of how high up the tower is. (Not that you would, but still.)
Have an awesome day!
Love,
Jordan
My favorite Parisian things to do:
*These are, of course, in addition to your standard places.
1. Go to a creperie stand. I got one with lemon juice and sugar that was fantastic. You can also get them with ham and cheese, etc.
2. Take a twilight cruise up the Seine. The Eiffel is fabulously aglow, and it is a nice, relaxing way to take in the city at night.
3. Head up to the artist's booths on Monmartre. They'll draw your portrait, if you like, and there are lots of little shops up there.
Are you guys going to make it out to Versailles? That was a very interesting trip as well.
Take your time in the Louvre. Nearly everything on display there is crazy important, so enjoy it as you walk around. The people we went with treated it like a checklist/scavenger hunt, and they missed many great things.
*Sigh* Wish I was there.
